Abstract
The results of our study suggest that a large proportion of women of advanced maternal age in the United States have not received contraceptive counseling in the past 12 months. Providers should focus on providing comprehensive contraceptive and sterilization counseling to women aged 35 to 44 years, especially those using unreliable, reversible contraception.
