Abstract
We recommend that at least a hemithyroidectomy should be performed in patients with advanced laryngeal cancer, if they have any predictive factor (subglottic extension more than 1Â cm, invasion of paraglottic space, thyroid cartilage, cricoid cartilage and prelaryngeal tissue detected by radiological examination) for thyroid gland invasion.
