- Low-normal thyroid function within the euthyroid range may impact on health.
- Whether differences in TSH, FT4 and FT3 influence life expectancy is unknown.
- 2431 euthyroid subjects were followed for 13Â years; 218 subjects died.
- Life expectancy did not vary according to tertiles of TSH, FT4 and FT3.
- Low-normal thyroid function does not influence life expectancy in euthyroid subjects.
