Abstract
Therapeutic strategies for reducing cardiovascular risk in patients with diabetes mellitus, chronic renal failure, chronic inflammatory diseases, chronic infections, HIV infection, patients with extreme ages or males are not always adequately supported in current guidelines of clinical practice. Their knowledge acquires relevance in these groups of patients, who present greater survival and complications that mark the clinical evolution in advanced phases.
