Abstract
The introduction of robotic surgery has expanded the indications for minimally invasive myomectomy to more complex cases previously performed by laparotomy. Randomized trials comparing different approaches to myomectomy are yet to be published. More studies are needed to determine the patients in whom a robotic approach is most beneficial, both in terms of patient outcomes and cost efficiency.
