Abstract
Decreased microvascular density in NMOSD patients correlated with the worsening of their visual acuity. Correlation between microvascular impairment and neuroaxonal thinning revealed that retinal microvascular alteration may contribute to neuroaxonal loss in NMOSD patients. OCT-A with measurable analysis offers a new path of study and will likely be useful as an objective biomarker for detecting microvascular impairment in NMOSD.
