Abstract
An ophthalmology consultation may be useful for patients with candidemia, infective endocarditis, broad-spectrum antibiotic use, or ocular symptoms. However, routine ophthalmologic evaluation may be less efficient for bacteremic patients without definitive infective endocarditis lacking other risk factors.
