Abstract
Emulsifed SO, ocular hypertension, corneal erosion and chronic inflammation of the anterior segment and an increasing incidence of cataracts in accordance with elapsed time, were the complications encountered with the use of SO. The rate of re-detachment after the withdrawal of SO in our hospital was nearly a fifth of all cases.
