Abstract
The implantation and use of the hypoglossal nerve stimulator over 5 months did not demonstrate any sustained, patient reported changes in voice handicap and swallowing function. While larger studies are warranted, our findings can be used to provide further informed consent for hypoglossal nerve stimulator implantation.
