Abstract
High cure rates for acute maxillary sinusitis and acute tonsilopharyngitis, and a favorable safety and tolerability profile were noted following treatment with cefpodoxime. Thus, cefpodoxime seems to be effective as empirical treatment in adult Egyptian patients with acute UTRIs.
