Abstract
Rapid surgical treatment is necessary to reduce morbidity and mortality in cases of necrotizing fasciitis. Due to the rarity of the disease it is often misdiagnosed by physicians. We emphasize the importance of staying alert and to keep necrotizing fasciitis in mind.
