Abstract
Children with complicated necrotizing pneumonitis have more preoperative morbidities, more major postoperative complications, and require longer postoperative stays. Aggressive surgical treatment results in significant clinical improvement. Lobectomy in patients with complicated necrotizing pneumonitis may shorten the postoperative course and avoid subsequent surgery.
