Abstract
Although obstetric complications are considered an indirect cause of maternal mortality, there are currently no guidelines or recommendations that address the psychological care of pregnant women during these complications. In this guide, health personnel are offered guidelines to understand the symptomatology and emotional impact of obstetric complications in pregnant women. This includes their diagnosis and treatment and the most appropriate type of psychological intervention according to their condition. Recommendations are also given for different levels of care.
