- Self-model/other-model system is used to assess basic attachment dimensions.
- Anxiety/avoidance system is also used for this purpose.
- This study showed a strong relation between self-model and anxiety.
- Similarly, there was a strong relation between other-model and avoidance.
- The two systems can be used interchangeably in attachment research.
