Abstract
Early stage lung cancer in the health area of A Coruña occurs predominantly in men, in advanced age, and with adenocarcinoma histology. Survival was greater among patients with stage I disease, women, individuals aged under 70 years, and those treated surgically. Despite early diagnosis, median survival was less than 5 years.
