Abstract
Triplane fractures (TF) are a special type of fracture that typically occur in the distal tibia, in a specific age group, and require specific treatment. It should be diagnosed early to avoid complications and irreparable consequences. Imaging techniques play a fundamental role. A review of TF is performed, and cases are presented in order to understand how they occur, and thus diagnose them properly.
