Abstract
This long-term clinical observation shows that de novo autoimmune hepatitis represents one cause of graft loss in patients with or without hepatitis C virus. Although most patients exhibit a good response to medical therapy, de novo autoimmune hepatitis is likely to recur and progress to liver cirrhosis.
