Trauma laparoscopy: A prospect of skills training (cohort study)

Laparoscopy for trauma can be safely performed by residents under appropriate supervision. Laparoscopic skills should preferably be obtained during elective non-trauma procedures and transferred to trauma setting. Multimodal goal-directed, proctored training with regular assessments and feedback is effective and skills are transferable to trauma setting.
