Abstract
Biliary atresia outcomes improved significantly after centralization and standardized management. Resolution of cholestasis and reduction of high-grade portal inflammation postoperatively predict slower fibrosis progression and improved native liver survival, and persisting ductal reaction parallels progressive native liver fibrosis despite COJ.
