Abstract
We report the case of a large early gastric cancer of 7.2Â cm in a 74-year-old man who was treated in INDISA Clinic in Santiago, Chile. A total gastrectomy with D2 lymphadenectomy with End-to-Side esophagojejunostomy in a Roux-en-Y anastomosis was successfully performed. The histology showed a polypoid well differentiated adenocarcinoma infiltrating up to the submucosa without regional lymph node involvement. Five years after the surgery, he remains asymptomatic and without tumor recurrence.
