Abstract
MCC is a rare tumor. It occurs in adult patients with distinct clinical features. It has to be suspected to allow an early diagnosis. Diagnosis is made by biopsy and it is confirmed by immunohistochemistry. Surgery with the sentinel node technique is the usual treatment, besides adjuvant chemoradiotherapy it is also applied.
