Abstract
In this paper, the improved CK reduction transformation is performed on the generalized variable-coefficient KdV (vc-KdV) type of equation, then these variable-coefficient equations are transformed into its constant-coefficient counterparts under some conditions. Moreover, the complete Lie group classification is presented, all of the point symmetries of the equations are obtained. Furthermore, the exact solutions and conservation laws of the equations are investigated.
