Abstract
The high versatility of diazonium grafting route opens large possibilities for the structuration of carbon surfaces. This short review describes the formation of modified monolayers through electrografting following two general approaches. In the first one, the nano-structuration is achieved with the grafting process using designed bulky substituents contrarily to the second approach where the nano-structuration comes from pre-built entities that are attached on the surfaces.
