Abstract
This Ni/Pt nanocomposite combines the Anomalous Nernst Effect in Ni with the Spin-Seebeck effect of the Ni/NiO/Pt trilayer to generate a twice larger transverse thermopower that the Nernst thermopower of Ni alone. This sets the proof that the Nernst effect and the spin-Seebeck effect work additively, opening a new avenue of research into spin-activated thermoelectrics energy conversion.
