Abstract
Cognitive dysfunction, an important covariate in the relationship between depression and impaired diabetes self-management, can be precisely targeted. Randomized, controlled treatments of neurocognitive dysfunction in patients with diabetes should assess for improved glycemic control, and perhaps even depression.
