Abstract
This study could contribute to knowledge on the role of dissociative symptoms in the development of persistent disorders such as PTSD and SUD. The clinical repercussions of these outcomes will be discussed regarding the questions arising when treating dissociated patients with effective methods such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) or schema therapy.
