Abstract
We demonstrated in vitro and in vivo that progressive haemodilution decreases endogenous antifibrinolytic proteins including α2-antiplasmin and thrombin-activatable fibrinolysis inhibitor, resulting in increased fibrinolytic tendency. Therefore, early fluid replacement therapy with FFP might be advantageous after massive haemorrhage.
