Indécision vocationnelle et intelligence émotionnelle : quelques données empiriques sur un échantillon d’apprentis italiens

RésuméLe but de notre étude est d’analyser les liens entre l’indécision vocationnelle et l’intelligence émotionnelle (EI). Quatre cent vingt-quatre apprentis (âge moyen = 21,13 ; DS = 2,29) ont rempli le questionnaire de difficultés à prendre des décisions de carrière (CDDQ) et l’inventaire de quotient émotionnel de Bar-On (version abrégée). Des relations inverses pour chacune des trois dimensions du CDDQ ont été observées, tant au niveau de la note globale de l’EI que pour certaines dimensions de l’EI. De plus, la dimension Intrapersonnelle de l’EI est le meilleur prédicteur de chacune des trois dimensions du CDDQ. Les résultats permettent d’approfondir la réflexion sur le rapport entre l’indécision vocationnelle et l’intelligence émotionnelle, et par conséquent, d’établir de nouvelles perspectives de recherche et d’intervention.

The aim of the present work is to analyse the relation between Career Decision Difficulties and Emotional Intelligence (EI). Four hundred and twenty-four wage-earning apprentices (mean age = 21,13; DS = 2,29) filled in the Career Decision Difficulties Questionnaire (CDDQ) and the Bar-On Emotional Quotient Inventory: short. Negative correlations of each of the three CDDQ dimensions both with the total score of EI and with some of the dimensions of EI emerged. Moreover, the Intrapersonal dimension of EI appeared the best predictor of each of the three CDDQ dimensions. The results enable a wider reflection on the relation between Career Decision Difficulties and EI, delineating new perspectives of research and intervention.
