Abstract
Of the various forms of TiO2 (anatase, rutile, and brookite), anatase is reported to be the best photocatalysts. High-temperature stable anatase TiO2 photocatalyst is required for antibacterial applications in building materials. Hysteretic effect of phase transformation in two-dimensional pure TiO2 is observed. The transformation from anatase to rutile phase varies with a large temperature range (400-1000â¯Â°C). The delayed phase transformation of 2D anatase TiO2 results from the synergetic effect of its own anomalous phase evolution and 2D morphologic structure.
