Un cas de pectus excavatum traité chirurgicalement chez un chat Persan de 9 mois

A nine-month-old Persian cat was initially received for an acute respiratory distress. The initial physical examination and the thoracic radiographs revealed that the cat had a pectus excavatum of moderate severity. A surgery combining sternebral plate, non-resorbable circumsternebral sutures and external splint was attempted and permitted resolution of clinical signs. Only few cases of ossified pectus excavatum (age > four months) surgically treated had been published, and this case describes one possible technique of surgery on these animals.
