Abstract
Daily and total opioid regimens prescribed after primary shoulder arthroplasty were similar between prior opioid users and nonusers despite large differences in their inpatient opioid requirements. Tailoring discharge opioid prescription regimens to inpatient use appears feasible and warrants further study.
