Abstract
- The most frequent sellar metastases are from breast and lung cancers.
- Diabetes insipidus and abnormal eye motility are the most specific symptoms.
- Contrast-enhancing tumors with stalk thickening are suspect of metastasis.
- Ipilimumab can cause hypophysitis, hypopituitarism, but rarely diabetes insipidus.
- PET-CT cannot distinguish metastasis from adenomas or inflammatory lesions.
