Abstract
A series of Er3+-doped Y2O3 nanocrystals were prepared by using a “polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) polymerization” route. Under 975ânm excitation, upconversion emissions of the materials had been studied in details. The strong upconversion emissions have been observed in the Er3+-doped Y2O3 nanocrystals. The preparation method of luminescent nanocrystals will be helpful to the development of luminescent technology.
