Abstract
In France, nurse anaesthetists help anaesthesiologists and contribute to the security and quality of anaesthesia, analgesia, and intensive care activity. The impact of nurse anaesthetists' involvement during calls on obstetric analgesia and anaesthesia quality of care has been measured in a before/after study by extracting quality indicators from our Anaesthesia Information Management System. Compared to the before period (September-October 2013), the quality and traceability of analgesia and haemorrhage management have been improved and emergent cesarean decision to birth delay has decreased significantly. Nurse anaesthestists may contribute to the quality of care in obstetric settings.
