Abstract
The molecular structure, mechanical property and dynamic mechanics performance of highly purified natural rubber (highly purified NR) were studied. The FTIR results showed that there was no stretching vibration absorption peak of NH group on 3280 cm−1 and vibration compound peak of CN group and NH group in amide group on 1540 cm−1 in highly purified NR compared to natural rubber (NR). The pyrolytic products of highly purified NR are less than that of NR. The main pyrolytic products of highly purified NR are limonene, 1,3-pentadiene and 4-ethenyl-1,4-dimethyl-cyclohexene, which contained 58.98% of the total pyrolytic products by mass fraction. Curing time t90 of highly purified NR prolonged, and crosslinking density and tensile strength decreased. Elongation at break increased and anti-aging performance significantly decreased compared to NR. Dynamic mechanics performance of highly purified NR is rather different from that of NR.
