Abstract
Late pericarditis may occur in up to 5% of allogenic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation survivors, primarily affecting patients with moderate and severe grade cGVHD. It requires escalation of immunosuppressive treatment but usually has favorable outcome. Early diagnosis may be achieved by systematic NT-proBNP testing and periodic echocardiograph evaluation.
