Abstract
UVB and UVC radiations compel metastatic-melanoma cells carrying the BRAFV600D oncogenic mutation to undergo apoptosis, necroptosis and increased autophagy, while synergism with Irinotecan reinforces UV-radiation's anti-tumorigenic activity. UV radiation-induced melanoma-cell escapers acquire low levels of autophagy, enhanced EMT program and Cisplatin resistance, therefore unveiling UV-radiation's tumorigenic activity.171
