Abstract
Then molecular mechanisms of vasopressin free water retention through acquaporin water channels in collecting duct cells are discussed: further studies are necessary to understand vasopressin release pathway (osmotic/nonosmotic) and V2 receptor activation with cell surface expression of renal acquaporins water channel.
