Abstract
Corticosteroids seem to promptly induce changes in hepatocytes ultrastructucture. The alterations mainly concern the size of nucleoli, the number of mitochondria and the complexity of endoplasmic reticulum, thus being consistent with an increased etabolic activity and protein synthesis.
