Abstract
Virtual endoscopy provides visualization of inner surface of the human organ using three dimensional volume models. Fast and accurate path generation and navigation in virtual endoscopy is the most important feature. We propose a real-time navigation method that computes camera position and makes a continuous curved path in ray-casting step. It determines camera orientation for the next frame using the point on a curve that was obtained from cubic spline algorithm. It doesn't require preprocessing stage and extra storage for maintaining spatial data structures.
