Abstract
A system to visualize and manage the space covered by ultrasound acquisition is presented. This system, SonoDEX, uses a conventional 1D transducer array ultrasound probe to create and visualize virtual 3D images in real-time, which can be frozen and reconstructed into volumetric images and then co-registered and fused with pre-segmented volumetric data of other modalities such as CT and MRI. These images are then visualized in stereo and manipulated in a natural interaction environment.
