Medicolegal aspects in the radiological management: The Treviso experience

ESCAPE and Telemed-ESCAPE are two projects developed in Treviso Hospital, with the aim to answer the actual need to keep the digital supported documents and to distribute the clinical data using network, to the internal customers (Physicians, Technicians, administrative personnel) and external customers (General Practitioners and out Patients). The new documental management consists in the implementation of a system of digital signature, electronic transmission, distribution and storage of the clinical reports. The Radiology Department informatic system is based on a IHE RIS/PACS and the documents produced (images and reports) are completely electronic.
