Abstract
We developed a software tool for kinematics study of the surgeon's performances in Minimal Invasive Surgery (MIS). The tool works on data acquired during exercise execution performed on a Virtual Laparoscopic Simulator and/or a sensorized bench-box. The tool provides functions to study HMM modellization of the surgical gesture, in order to create task independent evaluation metrics.
