Abstract
This paper describes the findings of a study that investigated the health status of 142 construction workers between 33 and 65 years of age in South Africa by means of taking their medical and surgical history, and the findings of physical medical examinations. Problems were identified relative to visual acuity, hearing, musculoskeletal disorders, abdominal, and genito-urinary problems.
