Abstract
Immigrants returning to work after a disability pension due to musculoskeletal disorders were found to be less content with their health status and more often suffered from back/neck/shoulder or psychiatric disorders when compared with non-immigrants. The treatment at the local social insurance office was found to be important in order to make immigrants interested in returning to work. Immigrants <50 years of age with children at home may need special support in order to return to work.
