Abstract
The biological effects of low dose and low dose rate radiation have been extensively studied on the inhabitants in the high background area of natural radiation and experimental animals exposed to low dose (rate) radiation. Although the evidence to show the unique biological effect of low dose (rate) radiation has been accumulated, we still stand far from the comprehensive interpretation of the phenomena. More convincing data are expected to fill out a lack of understanding of the biological effect of low dose (rate) radiation.
