Abstract
In the dangerous world of air medical transport, we've put a lot of hope for our safety in crew resource management (CRM). What has CRM training done for us? Is it really the cure for what ails us? Almost everyone knows what CRM entails and is pretty sure they practice it. Accredited programs are required to have training every year, but how much safer are we? The accident rate hasn't changed at all; we're crashing regularly. If CRM is so great, why hasn't it stopped the carnage? Have we wasted our safety dollar?
