Abstract
Bioethical principles are sometimes conflicting with medical progress and new technology. Ethical problems concerning organs and tissues transplantation are evolving. French laws have emerged in 1994. They have underlined moral codes, such as respect of human dignity, and criteria for using human organs and tissues. Ethical behaviour has been influenced by recent social, political, technological, and medical changes. They have resulted from new political debates and the French law of the 6th august 2004. This law restores professional standards, which should take place in each institution involved in donation and graft. This paper discusses the changes concerning organs donation and transplantation in France.
