Abstract
This study shows how the faculty uses the self-evaluation as a tool of formative evaluation to help to identify lacks in the process of teaching. The aim is also to make known to the faculty in the area of Phisiotherapy at the University of the Balearic Islands all the possibilities to adapt their methodology in order to face up the Bologna Process in the higher education area. We handed out questionnaires to the faculty of the Phisiotherapy area and we processed the data obtained from the survey with Excel and SPSS 11.0. programs. The most relevant data are those related to evaluation and objectives preparation and planning, and also those related to the transmission of interest for the subject. Aspects directly related to the self-learning from the students are less relevant. According to the results, we consider the report of self-evaluation from the faculty very useful in the context of teaching evaluation and improving because it helps to identify deficits and to plan their improvement with formative tools.
