Psychanalyse et cybernétique. Les machines de Lacan

RésuméOn analyse ici la réception de la cybernétique par Jacques Lacan et le rôle qu'y jouent les mathématiciens Guilbaud et Riguet. On montre que là où Lacan parle de cybernétique, il n'en est pas vraiment question, et là où il en est question, il ne le dit pas vraiment. On interroge ensuite le discours analytique actuel sur l'oubli de la contribution de la cybernétique et du cognitivisme au renouvellement épistémologique de la psychanalyse que fut le « retour à Freud », et les conséquences éventuelles de cet oubli.

This paper deals with Jacques Lacan's understanding and application of cybernetics, focusing on the role played by mathematicians Guilbaud and Riguet. I state that there is a mix-up in Lacan's discourse: where the cybernetic theme is mentioned, the true idea does not occur; and where it does, it is not explicit. Recent psychoanalytic literature is then consulted regarding the ignorance of the contribution of cybernetics and cognitivism to the epistemological renewal of psychoanalysis performed by the “retour à Freud”, and the potential consequences of this ignorance.
